Simcoe Street Closure
The Region of Durham is planning major construction on Simcoe Street for a period of one year. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in the northbound direction on Simcoe Street South as part of the construction. Patients should expect major traffic delays and access issues. The Clinic and all services will remain open during this time, however please plan accordingly when visiting.

Urgent Care Hours and Services - Updated June 16, 2023
Urgent Care hours are:
Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 8:00 pm
Friday 8:30 am to 1:00 pm
Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
Sunday 12 noon to 4:00 pm
Note: Only patients who have a family physician at this clinic will be seen Monday to Thursday between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Patients who do not have a family physician at the clinic and have registered by 5:00 pm will be seen.
All patients will be seen between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm and on weekends.
Masking Policy - Update May 2023
The COVID-19 pandemic has entered a new phase and it's time for a new approach to masking for patients, staff and physicians. On Saturday May 20th Glazier Medical Centre will transition from universal mandatory masking to optional masking. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure physician, staff and patient safety while recognizing changes in the nature of the pandemic and direction from public health experts.

Like all COVID-19 policies and practices, the need for universal masking will be subject to ongoing evaluation in relation to the spread of COVID-19 and will be revisited if needed. All decisions will continue to be based on provincial guidance/direction and informed by subject matter experts.

Zero Tolerance Statement
We operate a ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards abuse of Glazier Medical staff and physicians. Our staff and physicians come to work to care for others, not to become victims of violence, threatening behaviour, physical or verbal abuse or discrimination. Anyone attending or calling the Clinic who is abusive, will be banned from the premises.

Urgent Care/Walk-in clinic
Our urgent care department has resumed in-person appointments. Telephone appointments will only be offered for COVID positive patients only.
Office Visits
We have transitioned all of our offices to in-person. Please contact Central Booking and/or your physicians office to book an appointment.
